For the second consecutive week on SmackDown, another crack within the new Bloodline has seemingly developed. Moments before Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga defended the WWE Tag Team Championships against the Street Profits, Solo Sikoa made a stunning demand. He instructed Fatu to hand over his half of the titles. Fatu remained silent, but his glaring expression spoke volumes, suggesting that if looks could kill, Sikoa would be six feet under.....CONTINUE READING THE ARTICLE FROM THE SOURCE

Fatu, reluctantly, began to hand over his belt to Sikoa when the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief instructed him to give it to Tonga Loa instead. A surprised Fatu blinked and took a step back upon receiving his new orders. Sikoa then provided a reason for his decree.

“You can’t be a tag team champion,” Sikoa began, “if you’re going to be my own personal enforcer.”

With that, Sikoa opened his arms and hugged Fatu, who accepted the embrace while shouting, “I love you, Solo! I love you!” Yet, Fatu didn’t hug Sikoa back.

Before further developments could unfold, the Street Profits, accompanied by B-Fab, showed up. Facing the brotherly duo previously known in New Japan Pro Wrestling as the Guerrillas of Destiny, the Profits were defeated by the Tongas and later assaulted by the entire group. Former champions Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa attempted to intervene but got mauled.

Ultimately, Sikoa and his crew left united. Still, the tense nature of their segment raised added questions following Sikoa’s cinematic confrontation with Roman Reigns last week. Before they squared off, Sikoa said he and Tama Tonga would acknowledge Reigns as the Tribal Chief if Reigns could take the Ula Fala back from Sikoa. That drew a curious stare from Tama, who did not look pleased. Two weeks ago, Tama got his hands on the Ula Fala and hesitated to hand it over to Sikoa during another confrontation with Reigns.

As for why Fatu surrendered his title, a few theories exist. First, Fatu, who appeared to be injured after diving through a table at SummerSlam, is still in a walking boot. Though he’s been physically active the past two weeks, it may be a while before Fatu returns to regular in-ring duty.

Another possibility is that as WWE sets the stage for another Bloodline Civil War, a potential rivalry between the former Guerrillas of Destiny and a reunited Usos team of Jimmy and Jey could be on deck. On paper, this would be a dream match featuring two of wrestling’s most successful brother combos battling for tag team supremacy.

Alternatively, there could be a twist where Sikoa’s Bloodline faction turns on him. Paul Heyman had previously warned Sikoa about the dangers of the men he was aligning with, which is why Reigns had initially rejected their inclusion in the group. With a potential fifth member on the horizon and The Rock’s allegiance unknown, Sikoa could reunite with Reigns and the Usos, reestablishing their dominance as wrestling’s top faction.
