The said the “killing and use of excessive force on unarmed protesters is a gross violation of human rights and clear indication of APC’s intolerance for dissenting voices.”

“Nigerians expect an immediate investigation into these heinous crimes and prosecution of all those involved .
“The APC-led federal government should listen to the citizens and take urgent steps to address their demands which include the reduction of fuel price, stemming of the fall of the Naira and provision of food and jobs.
“The demand for good governance remains a legitimate and inalienable right of citizens especially in a democracy,” the statement concluded.
