House of Representatives Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister of State, Mariya Mahmoud, have wished Nigerian Christians a joyful Christmas celebration.

In their separate Christmas messages on Wednesday (today), Abbas, Kalu and Mahmoud enjoined Christians to spread the love of Jesus Christ.

In his message, Speaker Abbas called on Nigerians to use the season to reflect on the values of love, peace and unity.

“I congratulate Christians on Christmas, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

“This occasion symbolizes new beginnings, and I call for a national rebirth for Nigeria. Let us pray for the Nigeria we all dream of and for our leaders—political, religious, and traditional.

“I urge unity, peace, and love across all divides, hoping Nigeria becomes a nation we can all be proud of,” the Speaker said.

Deputy Speaker, in his message, called on Christians to extend help to the less privileged in society.

Today, we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, whose life brought redemption to humanity.

“This special occasion gives us a moment to reflect on the timeless values He exemplified: love, forgiveness, and selflessness.

“May the joy of His birth inspire us to extend love, kindness, and compassion to everyone around us, especially the less privileged.

“Wishing you and your loved ones a Christmas filled with peace, joy, and happiness,” Kalu stated.

On her part, FCT Minister of State, Mrs. Mahmoud prayed that the Christmas celebration would give citizens renewed hope.

As we celebrate the joyous season of Christmas, I extend my warmest greetings to you and your loved ones. This season is a time to reflect on the values of love, peace, and unity that bind us as a community and as a nation.

“May this festive season bring us Renewed Hope, happiness, and countless blessings. As we step into the new year, We remain committed to working to achieve greater progress and opportunities for all,” she said.
