According to the the DSS, Bodejo was arrested over fears that the creation of the Nomad’s Vigilante Group could cause violence across the country.
In an interview with The Sun, Bodejo explained that the reason for his detention was not because he committed any criminal offense
, but he saw it as blessing from God. He commended President Tinubu for creating the new Ministry of Livestock Development, asserting that it will help to put an end to the crisis between the herders and the farmers.
However, Bodejo emphasized that what th e president did shows that he has good plans
for the country and he is ready to deliver them to Nigerians. He alleged that the president have good advisers and nobody can deceive him from changing his mind to stop the development he has started.
He said, “My detention was God’s making; I didn’t kill anybody, I wasn’t involved in robbery
. Maybe, to the security agencies, the vigilante that we established was not right, but the Nasarawa State governor, other securities agencies in the state and myself didn’t see what the DSS saw.
