The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has issued a warning to the public regarding attempts by fraudsters to mislead and defraud individuals through a fictitious LinkedIn account purporting to represent Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, the Managing Director and CEO of the Authority.
In a statement released on their official channels, the NPA emphasized that the social media account making these fraudulent procurement and contract offers does not belong to Dr. Dantsoho and is operated by criminals looking to exploit unsuspecting members of the public.

The NPA further reassured the public that their legitimate procurement processes are conducted through authorized channels, strictly in line with federal regulations, and never through social media platforms. They firmly stated that the Authority does not request any form of advance payments for contracts or procurement dealings.
