A female National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Tayachibiyacha Ebal, deployed to Kebbi State, has slumped and died at Dakin Gari Orientation Camp.
Naija News learnt that the corp member suddenly slumped and was immediately rushed to the camp clinic for medical attention.
She was later taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Birnin-Kebbi, for advanced medical attention, but despite efforts of the doctors to resuscitate her, Ebal succumbed to death.
Confirming the incident, the state Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Muhammad Fingila, told journalists in Birnin Kebbi that Ebals remains had been sent to her home state, Adamawa.
Fingila, who described the incident as unfortunate, sent a condolence message to the grieving family on behalf of the Kebbi government.
Meanwhile, at the time of filing this report, the officials of NYSC, Kebbi State office, has yet to issue a statement on the incident.
In other news, a lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Dr. Fabian Osita, has been reportedly murdered by a yet-to-be-identified group.
Reports obtained by Naija News on Tuesday indicated that Osita was tragically shot dead on Monday night in the vicinity of the high-tension area in Aroma, Awka, while he was returning home from work.
According to a witness at the scene, the assailants intercepted the victim’s vehicle in an attempt to steal it.
However, when Dr. Osita resisted their efforts, he was shot in the head.
