Over 3,000 people gets free medical treatment from THFO in Garaha, Adamawa state.

More than 3,000 people with different illnesses have been treated freely and given drugs in Garaha , in Hong local government area of Adamawa state.

The free medical treatment is one of The Harvest Family Outreach program a faith base and a non governmental organization in conjunction with Christian Medical and Dentist Association (CMDA), Adamawa state chapter.

The Medical outreach is the first it’s organizing in the state, according the project coordinator, Ms. Chioma Odili said the outreach is an annual event which holds in Kaduna state and some other northern states is meant to attend to some health challenge of mostly indigent people in the society.

Ms. Chioma noted that The Harvest Family Outreach programs covers Evangelism, Health and Education as well as Training and Development which is aimed at building capacity of individuals and children mental development.

This year’s medical outreach with a theme “I will restore health unto the and I will heal thee of thy wounds ” is targeting to treat about 5,000 people with various ailments ranging from blood pressure screening,random blood sugar, Hepatitis B and C test, HIV test and minor surgery among others.

Engr Injinya Nimord Musa, Director, The Harvest Family Outreach represented by Dr. Lemuel Musa in an interview with Journalists during the two days medical outreach said the THFO programs cuts across all spheres of life including children’s spiritual and physical growth.

Adding that this year’s medical outreach was brought Garaha town, in Hong local government area to honor our founder and also to give back to the society.

” We have been doing this medical outreach and other programs for some time now but I must tell you, with what I see here and the testimonies in the last two days gives us great worries and concerns about the health needs of our people, the people needs good health care , water and more”

Noting that ” government can not do all for us, so it’s my plea to well to do persons, groups and corporate organizations to come and assist just like THFO “.

Lead Surgeon for the two days Medical outreach, Dr Raymond Chidama said the outreach has carried out successful over 100 minor surgeries.

He thanked the sponsors of the outreach program and called on well meaning individuals, cooperate organization to come and assist in the health well-being of the people stressing that government alone can not meet all the medical needs of it’s citizens.

A beneficiary of the free surgery, a 23 years old Saratudeen Alhassan who was operated of appendicitis was full of praise for the organization, ” I have been have this pain for over two years now but because there is no money, I couldn’t go for the operation, I really thank God” she said

Abubakar Halidu said for 15years now he has been suffering from Hyena and because of lack of money I have carried it but today I have been operated and even discharged.

Mr. Abubakar ‘s testimony was confirmed by Dr. Raymond Chidama who performed the surgery along side other Doctors ” this man was diagnosed 15years ago, I did not see him again until today, l am grateful it was successful”.

The two days medical outreach had people tread for malaria and other aliments and we’re given free drugs

People from all the ten wards of Hong local government area and neighboring Gombi local government area came for the free medical treatment.
