Eto’o spent six seasons in Barcelona from 2003 to 2009 and was at that time one of the best strikers in the world.

Pep Guardiola only came in as the first team head coach in 2008 and wanted to sell him and some key players in the squad.

The Spanish gaffer even asked Samuel Eto’o to give his number 9 to Thierry Henry, a lack of respect for the Cameroonian star who blasted his coach during an explosive interview with beIN Sport in December 2014.
