In a statement issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio also congratulated Chiamaka Nnadozie, Super Falcons goalkeeper, who has been recognized as the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year for a remarkable second year running.
Also, the Senate President commended the entire Super Falcons team for their impressive victory as the Women’s National Team of the Year.
Akpabio praised Lookman’s extraordinary skills and contributions to the sport, stating, “I wish to congratulate one of our finest footballers and an international superstar, Ademola Lookman, on his well-deserved win as the CAF Men’s Player of the Year. This prestigious award stands as a testament to Lookman’s relentless hard work, unwavering dedication, and exceptional talent on the football pitch.”
He also celebrated Nnadozie’s success, pointing out how her remarkable performances serve as an inspiration for young Nigerian girls aspiring to excel in sports. “Her achievements embody the spirit of perseverance and excellence,” commented Akpabio.
