Senator Abbo Ishaku SIA has rewarded the winners of the 36th Adamawa State Qur’anic recitation competition with two Keke Napep and cash prizes. The competition, held in Demsa Local Government Area, aimed to promote Qur’anic recitation and memorization among the youth.
Speaking at the event, Senator Abbo Ishaku SIA expressed his happiness to be invited and promised to support more Islamic events in the state and beyond. He emphasized the importance of improving Islamic education, particularly Qur’anic recitation and memorization.
The senator commended the steering committee for hosting the event and pledged the government’s commitment to enhancing Qur’anic recitation and memorization. He also appreciated the contribution of His Royal Highness Hamman Bata Teneke Alhamdu, who conducted and managed the competition in his palace as a non-Muslim.
The event also featured the donation of two Keke Napep and cash prizes to the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the competition
Other notable speakers at the event included Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau, National Leader of Jama’atu Izalatu Bid’ah Wa Ikamatu Sunnah, and former Vice President Alh Atiku Abubakar. They emphasized the significance of Qur’anic recitation, memorization, and Islamic education in promoting peace and combating terrorism.
The event also featured the donation of two Keke Napep and cash prizes to the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the competition.
