Bolarinwa Segilogbon confessed to the crime, stating that he had lured the victim to a construction site under false pretenses, claiming a potential buyer was interested in purchasing ponmo. Upon her arrival in the evening, she inquired about the prospective buyer, and he revealed that the true intention was to collect a loan she had agreed to provide. Her disappointment and upset led to an argument, which escalated to physical violence when he struck her with a plank.
As reported by The Vanguard News on Friday, Bolarinwa Segilogbon said, “So, I invited her to a construction site that I’m monitoring because I had told her someone wanted to buy ponmo. After her arrival in the evening, she asked me about the people who wanted to buy ponmo, and I told her it wasn’t because of the ponmo I invited her that it was because of the money she agreed to borrow from me. She later got upset after feeling disappointed, and from there we started arguing. I then hit her with a plank.
