When asked, Daniel Muller, the project’s lead scientist, stated that they had never gone that close to the sun with a regular camera. When you look at the images, you’ll see that the sun is surrounded by a yellow-brown color. This is a layer of individual plasma cells that rise and fall. According to researchers, the atmosphere surrounding the sun is far hotter than the sun’s surface.
