We are in the season of slump and die. It happened to Ifeanyi Uba last week and now, Onyeka Onwenu. I had an ugly experience not quite long ago. A client called me. We sealed a deal on phone. I was asked to forward my details. I did and after few minutes , I called back to inform him that I have sent the details as requested. I was frozen in shock. Someone else from their office concluded that deal.

Before, we were told that once you are 40 and above, you are prone to BP related issues, but today, we’ve seen people even in their 20s complain of BP wahala.

Please people of God, let’s make it a habit to take care of our health.

Check you BP regularly. I checked mine yesterday and I was very happy with the result.

Go to the hospital regularly to check the state of all your vitals – the heart, liver, kidney, etc. The earlier you know what’s happening to you, the better.

Once you fall sick, meet a medically qualified personnel.

Eat well. Avoid all these junk food. Local foods are better.

Even too much carbonated drinks is not good for you, too. Reduce the intake.

Drink enough water.

Treat Malaria and Typhoid. They are the highest killers in Africa now.

Make sure there is no form of infection in your body. Regularly, go for test of your fluids – blood, urine, semen and every other fluid that will show that infection is in your body. Infection could be killing you gradually without you knowing.

Infection doesn’t have to be sexually transmitted. Our environment, the food we eat, the water we drink and our public toilet systems are too dirty in Africa. You could pick what you did not bargain for. So check yourself regularly.

Prostrate cancer is dealing with men all over the world now. Watch your diet. There are some supplements that can help your prostate. And moreover, if you are married, ensure you have a very active sexual life. That’s good for your prostate and general health. But if you are not married, keep waiting on the Lord. Nothing will happen to you.

Sisters should go for constant checks of their breasts every 6 months or at most yearly. Breast cancer is a big killer now.

Exercise regularly. It doesn’t have to be vigorous. Make it moderate.

Those of us who are too fat or with big belle should please work on ourselves.

Sleep enough! 6-8 hours sleep is recommended by WHO. The older you grow, the more you should sleep.

Dr. Tim LaHaye said, “80% of the sicknesses people suffer have psychological root.” We bother a lot. We think a lot. We worry a lot. So, watch your mental health. Wahala no dey finish. Be happy and enjoy life.

Unforgiveness is a killer. Offload and be free. Forgive yourself and forgive others.

Socialize! Reach out! Make good friends. Forget your wahala and laugh a lot. Socializing will help you conquer depression.

Fasting is good for your health. It helps to cleanse your body.

Friends, you can’t fulfil your destiny if you die before your appointed time.

One of the things God will ask you on the last day is how you took care of the body He gave you.
