Three teams have officially been eliminated from this season’s UEFA Champions League, including RB Leipzig, which recently faced a challenging match against Premier League side, Aston Villa, losing 3-2.
Despite Leipzig’s valiant efforts against the Premier League side, the defeat means they cannot progress to the UEFA Champions League round of 16.
Leipzig’s struggle continued, as they have lost all six of their fixtures thus far and remain without points, currently positioned in 34th place. They are closely followed by Slovan Bratislava and Young Boys, who also sit at zero points.
Meanwhile, several teams above Leipzig, like Bologna, Salzburg, Crvena Zvezda, Girona, and Sturm Graz, are facing potential elimination as the league phase continues.
Meanwhile, Manchester City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, has made an exciting move by including 17-year-old goalkeeper Max Hudson in the squad for their upcoming match against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League.
This development was shared by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his X account, noting Hudson’s replacement of Scott Carson in the squad.
“17-year-old GK Max Hudson called into the Manchester City senior squad for the Champions League game vs. Juventus,” Romano wrote on his official X page.
“He’s replacing Scott Carson, as one more talent joining the first team from the Academy.”
