President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Nigeria this Sunday to participate in the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, starting Monday.
The summit, which will address pressing issues in the Middle East, is being held at the invitation of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. According to presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu will underscore Nigeria’s commitment to a peaceful resolution of the ongoing Israel-Palestinian conflict and call for an immediate ceasefire.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Sunday to attend the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit, which highlights the current dynamics in the Middle East,” Onanuga stated on Saturday.

Accompanying President Tinubu will be a delegation of notable officials, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris, and Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Mohammed Mohammed.
Upon the conclusion of the summit, President Tinubu will return to Abuja.
