According to reports, the labour unions are currently in a failed negotiation with the federal government over the minimum wages of Nigerian workers.

However, in a video posted by Sahara TV, Abdulkareem noted the current hardships in the economy and the hike in the prices of commodities.

He also maintained that if the federal government is unwilling to pay the sum of N350,000 to Nigerian workers, then senators and members of the House of Representatives should be paid the N65,000 proposed by the federal government.
