Alexander Stubb, Finland’s head of state, indicated on Radio Suomi’s “Hour with the President” program that Finland, which became a NATO member last year, has declined to station nuclear weapons on its territory. In turn, Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen said that Helsinki is negotiating with some NATO countries about deploying troops on its territory. This has not yet been publicly announced, but the authorities promised to provide more detailed information in February.

Earlier, the new Finnish Ambassador to Russia Marja Liivala pointed out the need for cooperation with Moscow.
