The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his Bourdillon Road residence in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Christmas Day.

Accompanying Wike were his sons, Jordan and Joachin, in what appeared to be a warm family interaction with the President.

President Tinubu warmly received the Wike family, commending the minister for his outstanding contributions to the transformation of Abuja.

The President praised Wike’s proactive measures in addressing critical issues in the FCT, particularly his firm stance on sanitizing land administration and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Recall that during his inaugural media chat earlier in the week, Tinubu described Wike as a “good man” and a “performing minister,” emphasizing his confidence in Wike’s ability to deliver results.

This strong endorsement came amid widespread debates surrounding the minister’s bold reforms in the nation’s capital.

The Christmas Day visit highlighted the cordial relationship between the President and Wike, reflecting their shared commitment to national progress.

In other news, Wike has said there is no regret in supporting Tinubu in the 2023 general elections.

Naija News recalls that Wike governed Rivers State for eight years under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform before his ministerial appointment.

During a thanksgiving service in Ochigba by the PDP in Ahoada East and West Local Government Areas of the state, Wike appreciated President Tinubu for believing in him.

According to the FCT Minister, he was threatened before the presidential elections for supporting Tinubu, adding that he would do the same thing if another opportunity comes.
