A member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Olaka Nwogu, has debunked reports the party summoned FCT Minister Nyesom Wike. But Nwogu, a member of the Disciplinary committee, described the report as false explaining that the committee had not even sat to discuss issues concerning the Minister.

Nwogu, a former PDP lawmaker, who represented Rivers South East Senatorial District, said individuals familiar with the situation contributed to spreading the misinformation for some personal reasons.

He said there had been various allegations and attempts to misrepresent the committee’s work, but he said the committee was still organizing itself to properly address its responsibilities.

Nwogu said: “I am a member of the disciplinary committee of the party. I was disturbed when the report came that Nyesom Wike had been summoned at a time when the disciplinary committee has not even met to consider any of these things.

“There has been a lot of misinformation to the public sometimes by people who should know better, who shouldn’t do that for reasons they know best.
