The First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu has assured the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akinolu that his request for special status for Lagos State would get the attention of the National Assembly through the lawmakers representing the state.>>>CONTINUE FULL READING HERE
Mrs Tinubu gave this assurance while responding to the request made by the monarch when she visited him at his Iga Idugaran Palace in Lagos recently.
The Lagos monarch seized the opportunity of the meeting to appeal to Nigerians to be patient with the government of President Bola Tinubu.
According to a release by the First Lady’s spokeswoman, Busola Kukoyi, the Oba noted that the President meant well for the nation describing him a grassroots-focused man.
“ All that I am saying and appealing is that we should pray for Nigeria and the president. We should be patient. Everything good needs prayers,” he said.
The monarch also admonished the youth to be closer to God noting that Nigerian youth were majorly good and hardworking
“ Though some youth are incurably lazy and are always waiting to be spoon-fed, teach them not to always wait for fish but learn how to fish themselves,” he said.
The First Lady, who was at the palace in the company with wives of some of the South West Governors, wives of National Assembly Members, wives of some ministers and wives of service chiefs, thanked the royal father for his continued support, prayers and admonitions.
“I assure you that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will do well for this country. He loves Nigeria, he loves Nigerians and will do the best for them,” she assured.>>>CONTINUE FULL READING HERE
