There are over 3 types of genotype, we have a AA, AS, and SS. Medically speaking, it is not advisable for a person with an S genotype to marry a person with the same genotype to avoid bearing children with SS(sickle cell) which is incurable.
2. STDs and HIV.
STDs or HIV are deadly diseases which are in most cases incurable. So to avoid being infected by your partner it is important that you both are tested and the case the result turns out negative, then you can now go ahead with the marriage. If not, you should call of the marriage or get treated before continuing with the marriage.
