It all began when a preacher identified as Pastor Fortune Makarois decided to weigh in on the tragic news of the 62-year-old actor’s demise, choosing Facebook as his platform for commentary.
In a misguided attempt to draw a spiritual comparison, Pastor Makarois juxtaposed Mr Ibu with the revered Pastor Adeboye, who had recently celebrated his 82nd birthday.
Implied within his words was the suggestion that Mr Ibu’s departure from this world could have been avoided had he been more devout in his faith. “The Man on the left is a Pastor and He is Celebrating His 82 Years old Birthday today.
The brother on the right is a comedian and He just died at 62 today. What do you learn from this? Use your Life to Serve GOD. UNTIMELY DEATH SHALL NOT BE YOUR PORTION IN JESUS NAME,” he proclaimed, seemingly overlooking the complexities of life and the deeply personal nature of one’s spiritual journey.
