President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Governors of Benue, Katsina and Oyo States and former presidential candidate, Peter Obi also bagged awards in different categories at the Annual Conference and Awards of Leadership Newspaper in Abuja.

President Bola Tinubu who bagged the Leadership Person of the Year award for 2023, was represented by his Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi.

The President acknowledged that Nigeria is in a difficult moment but assured she will come out of it strongly promising that his administration will continue to make decisions of great benefit to all.

In his keynote address, the former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, who spoke on the theme, “Nigeria’s Distress Economy; which way forward”, stressed that bad governance, population crisis, inadequate and unstable electricity, and lack of strategy, among others by successive administrations have been the bane of Nigeria’s economy crisis.
