Bobrisky has been convicted by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Ikeja after he pleaded guilty to abuse of the naira. While being arraigned in the court this afternoon, Bobrisky pleaded with the court to tamper justice with mercy as he was not aware of the law on abusing the Naira. The judge then told him that ignorance of the law is not an excuse to which Bobrisky replied,” I know my lord.’’
The court is yet to sentence him.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos has fixed April 9 as the date for the judgment of convicted cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.
The judge also ordered that he should be returned to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s custody pending the judgment.
Bobrisky has earlier pleaded guilty to the four charges on Naira Abuse. the court kicked out the fifth and sixth cherges bordering on money laundering.>>>>CONTINUE READING HERE
