However, in an interview with Afrik-Foot, Enyeama disclosed that he refrained from applying for the role due to two significant factors.

Firstly, he emphasized the necessity for coaching certification as a prerequisite for leading the Super Eagles. Enyeama acknowledged that while he possesses extensive football knowledge and experience, obtaining the required coaching qualifications remains a fundamental requirement for assuming such a prestigious position.
