The remarks were made by the former governor of the state of Anambra in a widely circulated video that was posted on Sunday on Peter Obi Media Center’s official X account.
Peter Obi was answering a question on whether ethnic and religion issues are responsible for the division in the country when he spoke about his encounter inKaduna state.
Peter Obi said tribe and religion are not responsible for everything happening in the country but politicians who have refused to do the right thing have employed them as a tool. He said most of the people in power have refused to fix roads and other basic amenities that will make life easier for the citizens.
Peter Obi said;
“I drove fromKano toKaduna a week ago and it took us about two hours just to cross Kaduna ring road. This does not make sense. These are the kind of people that we have in power.
