Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have cleared multiple suspected terrorist enclaves and recovered operational items during a coordinated offensive in Matazu Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Security sources disclosed that the operation was carried out at about 8:00 a.m. on April 22 by troops of the 17 Brigade, in collaboration with the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (KSCWC), with additional support from the Air Component of the operation.
During the exercise, troops successfully dislodged suspected террорист elements from identified enclaves located in Radawa, Farin Tafki, and Kuka Damisa.
Items recovered in the course of the operation include an empty AK-47 magazine, two motorcycles, a horse, and a vehicle. All recovered items are currently in military custody for further necessary action.
The sources noted that the offensive forms part of sustained efforts by security forces to dismantle terrorist infrastructure and restore stability across affected areas of Katsina State.
