BREAKING: ADC: You Cannot See A Political Party With 13 Cases In Court And Then Go And Acquire That Party-Oshoma

A legal practitioner, Liborous Oshoma, has criticised the decision by an opposition coalition to adopt the Action Democratic Congress (ADC) as its platform for the 2027 general elections, describing the move as a strategic miscalculation given the party’s ongoing legal troubles.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Oshoma pointed to a recent court ruling that, according to him, has significantly complicated the internal structure and legitimacy of the party’s activities.

“What this court has now said is that, by virtue of the party’s constitution, it is the NEC that can conduct congresses, and that the state executives are members of the NEC. So without them, you cannot conduct valid congresses, and the congresses that were conducted have been nullified. The court has also directed INEC not to recognise anything that came from those proceedings. You cannot see a political party with 13 cases in court and then go headlong into acquiring that party.
