The Nigerian Law Society has commended the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Olatunji Disu, for ordering the immediate dismissal and criminal prosecution of ASP Nuhu Usman and five other officers implicated in the killing of Mene Ogidi in Effurun, Delta State.
In a statement issued in Abuja on April 30, 2026, and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Lilian O. Uche, the NLS described the action taken by the IGP as decisive, but said it would monitor the case to ensure that justice is fully served.
