Supporters of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso have urged opposition parties to choose a presidential candidate from Southern Nigeria, increasing discussions about forming a coalition ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to The Punch, it was however reported that parties like the African Democratic Congress, New Nigeria People’s Party, and Social Democratic Party do not all agree on whether the candidate should come from the North or the South.
