According To Punch Newspaper On Wednesday 10th June, 2026, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared that the infrastructural achievements recorded under President Bola Tinubu administration in Abuja are strong enough to secure the President political future, insisting that the President has no reason to worry about his re-election prospects.
Wike made the remarks on Wednesday during the official commissioning of Arterial Road N5 in Abuja, one of the key infrastructure projects executed by the Federal Capital Territory Administration. The minister praised the pace of development in the nation’s capital, attributing the progress to the commitment of the Tinubu led administration to improving public infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
According to Wike, the visible transformation taking place across Abuja serves as evidence of effective governance and demonstrates the administration dedication to fulfilling its promises to Nigerians. He argued that if performance and infrastructure delivery remain the major criteria used by citizens to assess leaders seeking another term in office, President Tinubu has already established a strong foundation for continued public support.
Speaking before government officials, community leaders and residents who attended the commissioning ceremony, Wike expressed confidence that the ongoing projects across the Federal Capital Territory would continue to earn the administration widespread approval.
