Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo has said he warned Nigerians years ago that the debate over the Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket would eventually lose relevance once the administration assumed office. According to him, the focus of citizens would shift from religious identity to the quality of governance being delivered.

Speaking during an interview on Arise TV, Adebayo recalled making the prediction about four years ago while addressing audiences in Kano and Kaduna.

He said he urged those worried about the same-faith ticket to wait and judge the government by its performance rather than by the religious identities of its leaders.

He explained that he believed governance would become the real issue after the election because Nigerians would naturally assess the administration based on its policies, decisions, and ability to improve the lives of citizens.Read More Here>
