SHOCKING: The youngest of them, Waliyat and Salam, were the ones who took the worst of the beating–Alamu

As reported by The Nation on Monday, July 13, 2026, Mrs. Racheal Alamu, the Principal of Community High School in Ahoro-Esinele, recounted the harrowing ordeal she and a number of students faced during their 56 days in captivity after being taken hostage by kidnappers.

In a post-rescue interview, she elaborated on the harsh conditions they endured and indicated that several of the children experienced physical violence during their time in captivity.

When asked about the noticeable wounds on some of the liberated kids and if they faced abuse, Alamu shared that although she did not experience physical harm herself, many of the children were less fortunate.

She indicated that the captors often resorted to aggression against some of the young hostages, leaving them with visible injuries upon their release.Read More Here>
