The All Progressives Congress (APC) North West has vowed to repeat its 2023 feat by giving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu the highest votes, including for all seven governors in the zone, senators, House of Representatives members, and House of Assembly members.
The pledge was made during its maiden meeting held at the party’s zonal office in Kaduna on Friday.
A statement issued by the party’s Zonal Publicity Secretary, Musa Mailafiya Mada, said the meeting, which was chaired by the National Vice Chairman, Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad, focused on taking steps that will enable the zone to maintain its leading position in producing the highest number of votes for its presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The statement noted that the meeting also “agreed to collaborate with all critical stakeholders of the party in the Zone to ensure total victory for all the party’s candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections, especially President Tinubu, the seven state governors from the zone who are all members of the party, as well as the National and State Assembly members.”
The statement said that, to this end, “Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad-led Zonal Executive officials adopted a campaign model through which the party intends to win. The model and process will be based on the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and track records in the zone.
“The development efforts the government has provided in the North West Geopolitical Zone, ranging from infrastructure, education, health, security, and various developmental programmes through the North West Development Commission (NWDC), a creation of President Asiwaju, will be highlighted to different strata.
“The Zone also insists on maintaining the existing peaceful atmosphere that has kept the party united and vowed to remain vigilant in mending any foreseeable crack that may emerge in the course of the build-up to the 2027 general elections.
“The Zonal Secretariat is equally mandated to tackle any misinformation being created by the opposition with the sole purpose of demarketing our great party, the All Progressives Congress.
“In attendance were re-elected and newly elected Zonal Executive Officers, which include Hon. Isah Sadiq Achida as the newly elected Zonal Secretary, Zonal Legal Adviser Barr.
