Troops under Operation FANSAN YAMMA have dismantled several suspected terrorist hideouts and recovered logistics items during a coordinated offensive in Matazu Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Security sources said the operation, conducted around 8:00 a.m. on April 22, involved personnel of the 17 Brigade working alongside the Katsina State Community Watch Corps, with air support from the operation’s Air Component.
The troops targeted and cleared identified enclaves in Radawa, Farin Tafki and Kuka Damisa, successfully forcing out suspected террорист elements operating within the areas.
Items recovered during the raid include an empty AK-47 magazine, two motorcycles, a horse, and a vehicle. All items have been taken into military custody for further action.
The sources added that the operation is part of ongoing efforts by security forces to degrade terrorist networks and restore stability in affected communities across Katsina State.
