According to BBC Sport, Real Betis and Real Madrid shared a 1–1 draw in LaLiga Round 32 at the Estadio de La Cartuja, with a last-minute equaliser preventing Madrid from securing the win. Vinícius Júnior had given Real Madrid the lead in the first half, but Héctor Bellerín scored deep into stoppage time to earn Betis a point.
Madrid made a strong start and controlled the early stages of the match. Federico Valverde attempted a shot from distance that was saved by Álvaro Valles, and Vinícius Júnior was quickest to the rebound, finishing from close range to score his 13th league goal of the season. Los Blancos dominated possession early on, while Betis found it difficult to cope defensively.
As the first half went on, Betis improved and began to create more chances. Andriy Lunin, who replaced the injured Thibaut Courtois, produced several important saves, including a double stop against Antony. His efforts ensured Madrid went into halftime still leading despite increasing pressure from the home side.
In the second half, Madrid thought they had doubled their advantage when Kylian Mbappé volleyed home a cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold. However, VAR disallowed the goal for offside, denying Mbappé a special moment in his 100th appearance for the club.
Betis continued to threaten and nearly equalised through Cucho Hernández, whose volley was brilliantly saved by Lunin. At the other end, Valles also made key saves to deny Mbappé and Valverde as Madrid pushed for a second goal.
The match was decided dramatically in the 94th minute when Bellerín reacted quickly to a loose ball and finished calmly in stoppage time, securing a 1–1 draw for Betis. This result also extended Madrid’s streak without a clean sheet in LaLiga to ten matches.
The draw leaves Betis fifth in the table, six points clear of their nearest challengers, while Madrid closed the gap to leaders FC Barcelona to eight points.
Vinícius Júnior was awarded man of the match for his energetic display and his opening goal, which had given Madrid the advantage before the late equaliser changed the outcome.
