According to a report by Daily Trust on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, no fewer than three persons sustained injuries on Wednesday after a section of the Zaria Central Mosque currently under reconstruction collapsed during ongoing casting work.
The incident occurred when the decking of the mosque’s second floor, located beside the southern minaret, suddenly caved in while construction workers were carrying out casting operations on the structure.
