According to a post on vanguard official X account on Saturday May 23, 2026, Former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi has challenged claims by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that he single-handedly made late former President Muhammadu Buhari win the 2015 presidential election. Amaechi made the remarks while reflecting on the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the political events that led to Buhari’s emergence as president in 2015.
