Osita Okechukwu, a founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reflected on the events leading to the party’s emergence in 2015, saying trust between Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Tinubu played a key role in uniting the coalition before the presidential election.

Speaking during an interview on Arise News, Okechukwu recalled that some members of Buhari’s camp were uncertain about Tinubu’s political intentions as the party prepared for the presidential primary.

According to him, concerns were raised during discussions with Buhari about whether Tinubu intended to contest for the presidency. Okechukwu said Buhari dismissed those fears by assuring party members that Tinubu had personally told him he would not run.Watch Video/Continue..
