Dangote: Nigerian Filling Stations, Depot Owners Increase Fuel Prices Again

According to a report by Daily Post, on Tuesday July 21, 2026, fuel prices have increased again across parts of Nigeria as filling stations and depot operators adjusted their rates for the second time within a week. ‎A market survey conducted in Abuja showed that several filling stations raised the pump price of petrol to between N1,275 and N1,280 per litre, the new prices represent an increase from the previous range of around N1,220 per litre.

‎The latest adjustment means motorists are now paying between N55 and N60 more for every litre of petrol purchased, the increase has added to concerns among consumers who are already struggling with the rising cost of transportation and other daily expenses.

‎The price changes were not limited to retail outlets. Depot operators also increased their ex-depot prices, which are the rates at which marketers buy fuel before selling to consumers, several depots raised their prices to between N1,249 and N1,270 per litre.
