Ngoshe: Let Me Make It Clear, Ransom Was Paid In Billions, Around N5B Was Released-Samaila Kaigama

Samaila Kaigama, the head of the Borno South Youth Alliance, reported that approximately N5 billion was paid to gain the freedom of individuals abducted in Ngoshe, Borno State.

Kaigama shared this information while addressing the details of the rescue mission, noting that the payment occurred once negotiations advanced significantly.

During an interview on Channels Television on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Kaigama elaborated on the talks that resulted in the victims’ liberation.
