During an appearance on Fox Tv on Tuesday, July 21st 2026, Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst has said the Iran-backed Houthi movement’s threat to impose a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia could have wider implications for international shipping, warning that the situation raises concerns about security in one of the world’s busiest maritime corridors.

Reporting on developments in the Middle East, Yingst said the Houthis had announced plans to move ahead with the blockade, with early indications that incidents had already occurred off the Yemeni coast.
