According to a report by Daily Trust, on Friday, July 24, 2026, the Arewa Think Tank has dismissed calls by opposition groups demanding the resignation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the controversy surrounding the accounts linked to the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), describing such demands as hasty and unjustified at this stage.

The group’s Convener, Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu, stated that Nigerians should allow the appropriate legal and constitutional processes to run their full course before reaching conclusions about the matter.
