The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Olasunkanmi Okusaga, Director of Rail at LAMATA, who represented the Managing Director, Engr. Mrs. Abimbola Akinajo. During their visit, Commissioner Igwebuike highlighted Lagos State’s pioneering efforts in public transportation and expressed optimism that LAMATA’s expertise would significantly contribute to Anambra State’s vision for a more efficient and sustainable transport system.
As part of their informative visit, the delegation had the unique opportunity to experience the state-of-the-art Blue Line Rail, embarking on a journey from the iconic Marina Station to Mile 2 and back, witnessing firsthand the achievements and innovations in Lagos’ transportation infrastructure.
Meanwhile analysts have opined that this exchange of knowledge and experience between Anambra and Lagos holds the potential to catalyze advancements in the transport sector. The visit, in their view, would benefit both states and ultimately foster the development of a more robust and efficient transport network.
