BREAKING: Captured Boko Haram Suspect Alleges Links to Senior Military Figure in Viral Interrogation Video

A video circulating widely on social media has sparked fresh controversy after a captured suspect believed to be linked to Boko Haram made explosive claims during an interrogation by Nigerian soldiers.

In the footage, the suspect is seen tied to a tree while being questioned by armed personnel. During the interrogation, he alleges that his group operates under the direction of a senior military officer based in Abuja, whom he referred to as “Baban Soja” — a Hausa phrase meaning “big soldier” or “Manga Manga.”

According to the suspect, his immediate commander works directly under the said figure, who he claims resides in Abuja with his family. He further stated that he could lead security operatives to the alleged individual if untied.

The suspect, however, denied ownership of a rifle reportedly found in his possession, insisting he was not directly involved in armed operations.

The authenticity of the claims made in the video has not been independently verified, and there has been no official statement from the Nigerian Army or other security agencies regarding the allegations.

Security analysts warn that such claims, especially when unverified, should be treated with caution, as they may be made under duress or as part of misinformation tactics by insurgent groups.

The emergence of the video has nevertheless raised concerns among citizens and observers, with many calling for a thorough and transparent investigation into the allegations.
