BREAKING: “Food Prices May Be Falling, but Many Nigerians Still Can’t Afford to Eat” — Lawa

According to Punch Newspaper, residents of Lagos have continued to express frustration over declining purchasing power despite noticeable reductions in the prices of some food items across major markets in the state. Findings from several markets showed that staple foods such as garri, beans and rice have recorded slight price drops in recent weeks, raising hopes among consumers that household pressure would ease.

However, many residents say the falling prices have not translated into improved living conditions because transportation costs and other daily expenses remain high.
