BREAKING: I Don’t Have Privilege Of Seeing Tinubu Despite Writing Letters To Present Nigeria Proposals— Shittu

Adebayo Shittu, the former Honorable Minister for Communications, has expressed deep worry over his inability to secure an audience with President Bola Tinubu to discuss critical national matters. The prominent chieftain of the ruling party lamented that seasoned political stakeholders are systematically shut out from contributing vital administrative solutions to governance.

According to a video posted on the Official YouTube channel of SYMFONI on Sunday May 24, 2026, when asked about his current access to the presidency, he stated, “I have not had the privilege of seeing President Tinubu despite writing three letters containing several proposals over the last three years, and I am speaking out publicly so he realizes it is in the interest of Nigeria for those with great ideas to have access to him.”

The veteran legal practitioner explained that his desire to meet with the commander in chief was not for personal aggrandizement but to offer workable templates for national growth. Shittu noted that having actively participated in national politics for over four decades, he possesses valuable insights that could significantly transform the economic fortunes of the country.

The foundation member of the All Progressives Congress revealed that many loyal progressives who sacrificed their resources during the presidential campaign have been completely sidelined by administrative bottlenecks. He warned that insulating the leadership from constructive feedback from experienced stakeholders creates a dangerous disconnect between the government and the plight of ordinary citizens.

In his concluding remarks, the ex-minister urged the president to urgently dismantle the bureaucratic barriers preventing strategic interactions with independent party elders. He maintained that opening regular channels of communication remains crucial for resolving the ongoing internal party crises and executing development programs that would directly impact the lives of the poor masses.
