According to a video shared a User on X on June 19, 2026, residents and indigenes of Ekiti State were seen receiving bread on the streets.
In the video, one of the vehicles which the bread was being thrown out from has a campaign flyer of Biodun Oyebanji, the current governor of Ekiti state.
People were seen running after the vehicle in order to receive their own bread, while the bread is being thrown down so that whoever gets it first can take.
The gesture is reportedly aimed at showcasing love for the people as the state prepares for its governorship election tomorrow.
The distribution of bread comes on the eve of the Ekiti State governorship election, scheduled for June 20, 2026.
