According to a video posted on Fox News on Monday 13, 2026, national security analyst Hal Kempfer said he was watching closely to see whether the United Arab Emirates would rejoin a coalition working to counter the Houthi movement in Yemen, following a Saudi military strike on a Houthi-controlled airport.

The comments came during a discussion about Saudi Arabia’s decision to carry out a strike on Sanaa airport, an action described as highly unusual and reportedly supported by President Trump.

Kempfer was asked what the strike could mean for the broader region and whether other Gulf states might take similar action.
