According to a report by The Times Of Israel on July 14, 2026, Iran has executed two men convicted of belonging to an Islamic State-linked militant cell and engaging in armed activities against the Islamic Republic.

The executions were announced by the Iranian judiciary’s news outlet, Mizan, which said the sentences were carried out after the country’s Supreme Court upheld the convictions.

The report identified the two men as Mohieddin Abdollahi and Hossein Palani. Iranian authorities said both were found guilty of participating in operations connected to the extremist group and carrying out actions considered a threat to national security.
